From plant to finished skincare, a craft in every step

 

For us at HUMLE, production doesn't start in a lab. It starts in the soil.

In Ydre, we cultivate the hops that form the basis of our organic skincare. Every spring, the plants come to life, and during the summer, they grow powerfully towards the light, from zero to eight meters. When late summer turns to autumn, we carefully harvest the cones by hand. That's where our production begins.

From home-grown hops to skincare

 

The hops we grow ourselves are turned into oil extracts that form the base of our products. By working with our own raw material, we gain proximity to the entire process, from plant to finished jar. We know how it has grown, when it was harvested, and how it has been handled.

This gives us control, but also something more important: a feeling for the raw material.

Together with carefully selected organic vegetable oils, butters, and waxes, we create natural skincare that is rich, concentrated, and free from unnecessary additives. We do not use water to dilute the content. Instead, we let each ingredient have a function.

Small-scale production with care

 

All our production takes place by hand in our old school building from the 1920s in Österbymo, Östergötland. Here we work on a small scale, close to every step of the process.

We melt, mix, fill, and label ourselves. Every balm, oil, and product passes through our hands several times before it is finished. It is a slow process. But that is also what makes the difference.

The scent of herbs and oils is faint in the premises. The pace is calm. The focus is on quality, not quantity.

Raw materials with respect

 

In addition to our own hops, we use organic vegetable oils and natural ingredients of the highest quality. 

We are careful to be transparent: we refer to what research and tradition say about individual ingredients, but we never promise medicinal effects in our finished products. For us, it's about honesty and respect, both for you who use the products and for the regulations we work within.

A craft that takes time

 

We don't believe in quick shortcuts in skincare. We believe in knowledge, thoroughness, and allowing each step to take the time it needs.

Our production is small-scale and Swedish. It is personal. It is rooted in the place where we operate. From cultivation to production.
